Dating from 1616, Chilham Castle is set in 300 acres of Kent countryside with remarkable views of the North Downs. Unique to Chilham Castle are the three ancient brick terraces leading down to a large lawn able to host events of any size.

Chilham Castle is the perfect backdrop for wedding receptions, parties, lunches, dinners, conferences and meetings.

The interior of the Castle is also available. We have hosted poker parties in our Card room, canapé receptions, a book launch, an art exhibition and a variety of charity events in the Great hall and Library. We welcome the chance to work with you to produce a completely bespoke and unique experience.

Chilham Castle is the home of Tessa and Stuart Wheeler, and their personal chef Carleton Smith will tailor menus to suit your requirements, using seasonal local produce.

Chilham Castle is 60 miles from Central London, 15 minutes from Ashford International railway station and 35 minutes from the Channel Tunnel. It’s easily accessible via motorway from Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted Airports.
